The trailer is sited at the area known as Sykes right in the heart of the Trough of Bowland.
This is our 2nd season in the Trough, however Andrew is particularly aware of the history of the trailer at Sykes as he was born and raised in Newton in Bowland. To our knowledge there has been a food trailer in the Trough of Bowland for around 55 years. The first person to sell Ice Cream in the Trough was a Newton man called;
Harry Hodson. In those days the menu was somewhat limited, offering Vanilla Ice Cream cut into wafers.
Today we try to offer a good selection of quality hot and cold food and drinks, Chocolate bars and Cakes, including the much talked about ........

For Walkers and Bird Watchers
There is good free car parking facilities at Sykes to enable you to park up and head off walking or twitching, we are usually on site from 10.30-4.30, however we cannot accept any responsibility for vehicles parked.
For Bikers
We are always delighted to see bikers in the Trough and are more than happy to serve ones and two's to larger groups. For larger rides out 20+ a phone call or email by the organiser to notify us of the date and approximate time is very helpful.
For Cyclists
We have a good selection of cold drinks to help you re-hydrate during your journey, we also sell puncture repair kits and usually have a selection of tools to assist with any "casualties."
For Tourists and Families
Sykes Nab Snacks is sited on the car park with Langden Brook behind us. Why not take the opportunity to dip your toes in the brook or just sit and listen to the soothing sound of the water. We offer a variety of
Ice Lollies, Vanilla Ice Cream, Hot and Cold drinks.
